There has been a lot of talk in the "weblogging world" recently about increased comment-spam and concern for weblog protection against this. Expressions is protected from comment-spam (although unfortunately it is impossible to be 100% protected). The Expressions system assigns a random ID string for page identification along with using a frameset to make it extremely difficult for any comment-spam to be used on your blog.
If you do receive any comment-spam, you have the option in your Account Preferences to delete the comment and ban the IP. IP banning is an extremely helpful tool in protecting your blog. You can ban an IP address from comments or even from viewing your blog page completely. You will find a commentor's IP in the comment confirmation email you receive when they post a comment on your blog.
