Toy Polloy
Many of our members are Toy Camera enthusiasts, so we were thrilled to hear about Toy Polloy – an International Photography Show featuring 30 Toy Camera users (many of them Expressions members). Toy Polloy, organized by Tread, will be held this Friday, November 17th, in Kentucky at The Ice House (more info at toypolloy.com).
Chantal has a great write-up about the event over on BlogCritics.org where she introduces some of the featured photographers as they share thoughts on their art and toy cameras. If you are in the area, I think this would be a great event to attend. No doubt you will see some fantastic photography and meet some wonderful people. We are especially chuffed to see so many Expressions members involved – many of whom inspired me to get my first Holga and delve into the wonders of toy cameras. So, congrats to our members on being featured – we wish we could attend ourselves:

This week too, you will see that FlakPhoto has teamed up with LightLeaks Magazine to feature images from 5 of the participants in Toy Polloy. The week will end with an essay from Mike Barnes of LightLeaks about toy camera photography - be sure not to miss that. It’s exciting to see so much fantastic work in the toy camera community and we are so pleased to be a part of it all in some way.
If you have any events or exhibitions you'd like to share, drop me a line. We'd love to give you a shout out and spread the word.
