It is with great sadness that I share the news that Jon has passed away. Everyone at Expressions will know Jon as a real ambassador for the community sharing his love for photography through his own work, but also by recognising and encouraging the work of others. Jon was a member of Expressions for a number of years, but in February 2008 he came on board as our volunteer Community Ambassador and really took the lead in featuring members here on the blog. He was always so excited to discover a new photo to feature and a new member to welcome. His emails were always brimming with enthusiasm and ideas on how to improve the community. No doubt, the entire community will miss him and his love for photography and the photography community.
With this in mind, for the next few days, starting tomorrow, I will be featuring some of my personal favourite photos of Jon's. He loved capturing people in their every day settings and granted us a peek into these lives. I appreciated Jon as a photographer and a friend and he will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace.
